Description
This quick medium-sized Clouded Sulphur butterfly is one of the most abundant in North America. It has seasonal color variations that range from a white to yellow. The dark spots vary as well, being more pronounced during the cool months in spring and fall. They can be seen flying close to the ground and frequently visit flowers and mud puddles. Where there is one, there are usually many. Enjoy these magnificent butterflies as they visit all your favorite areas in gardens, lawns, and parks.
Zinnias are annuals, shrubs, and sub-shrubs native primarily to North America. Most species have upright stems. They typically range in height from 10 to 100 cm tall (4" to 40"). The flowers have a range of appearances, from a single row of petals to a dome shape. Zinnias may be white, chartreuse, yellow, orange, red, purple, or lilac.
Captured in Needham, Massachusetts.
