Description
The house sparrow is a bird of the sparrow family Passeridae, found in most parts of the world. The house sparrow is strongly associated with human habitation, and can live in urban or rural settings. Tough, adaptable, aggressive, it survives on city sidewalks where few birds can make a living; in rural areas, it may evict native birds from their nests. It is the most widely distributed wild bird.
