Snow leopards, which are found in the high mountains of Central Asia, are already endangered, according the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s red list. They are suspected to have declined by at least 20 percent over the last 16 years due to loss of habitat and the animals they hunt, poaching, and persecution.
This photo was taken in one of the oldest zoos in the country, Roger Williams Park Zoo. Zoo is located in Providence, Rhode Island amid a beautiful, 40-acre park setting.
