Description
Sequoia National Park is 2nd oldest National Park in the United States. It was established on September 25, 1890. It was the first national park to be created in order to protect a living organism, the giant sequoia tree. This park is home to the world’s largest trees (by volume): the giant sequoias, which grow only on the western slopes of the majestic mountains of the Sierra Nevada in California. Enjoy a trip to the Giant Forest, view the world's largest living thing, the General Sherman Tree, and realize just how small we are compared to these giant Sequoia Trees.
