Description
These birds are green overall and have a bluish head, distinct white eye ring and long, pointed tail. The inner parts of the tail feathers are reddish and not always readily apparent. Often seen in small flocks. This species is officially called a parakeet, though usually called conures in aviculture. These however are wild birds, descendents of pet birds that escaped captivity and established breeding colonies. Taken in south of Florida.
