The Great Egret is one of the largest wading birds that lives in the Everglades. It is over four feet tall and its wingspan is more than 50 inches in length. In the Everglades, you might observe majestic Great Egrets soaring gracefully above the marshes and waterways as they search for fish, amphibians, and other small aquatic creatures. Everglades National Park is one of the largest wetlands in the world and the largest remaining subtropical wilderness left in North America. The Everglades provide crucial habitat for numerous bird species, making it a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts alike.
