Budapest is the capital and the most populous city of Hungary, and the tenth-largest city in the European Union by population within city limits. Budapest is an Alpha − global city with strengths in commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. It is Hungary's financial centre and was ranked as the second fastest-developing urban economy in Europe. Budapest is one of only three capital cities in the world which has thermal springs.
This photo was taken from Fisherman’s Bastion. Fisherman’s Bastion sits atop Castle Hill and provides some of the most spectacular views in all of Budapest. One of the most striking buildings in Budapest is the Hungarian Parliament building, the largest building in Hungary and the seat of the Hungarian government. It sits right on the Danube on the Pest side of the city, and is instantly recognizable by its neo-Gothic facade.
