Description
The 15 meters in height mural "Revival of Ukraine" was drawn in spring 2014 during the French Spring festival and soon became one of the most recognizable in Kiev. The picture was painted by French graffiti artist Julien Mullan and artist from Sevastopol Alexey Kislov. The picture took 60 liters of acrylic and aerosol cans over 100 different colors. The initiator of the project was the French Institute. On the wall is drawn Ukrainian girl in a wreath, landscape elements of ancient Kiev and Cossacks. Mural shows new Ukraine, waking up after a long sleep. This image is embodied in the face of a young girl protects their land and a new generation: the boy on her hand looks with hope to the future. A blue circles on the girl's head symbolize the transition of Ukraine to a new level of consciousness. The Ukraine girl in the picture is a symbolic reflection of the spirit and revival of Ukraine. The place is located in 33/6a Borichev Tok Street (from the side of Andriyivsky Descent)
Taken in 2017. Glory to Ukraine!

Marvelous capture of this magnificent mural, Lyuba! I am so glad you acknowledged the artists who painted it. It saddens me that most photographers do not mention the artist whose work they are profiting from. Congratulations on your MURALS - COLOR PHOTOGRAPHY ONLY contest 3rd place win!

I love the idea behind this work and it is such an important expression at the moment. Happy you posted it. I am hopeful that the Russian Artists on FAA will see it and think beyond their government propaganda about with their country and Putin is doing to beautiful Ukraine and its people. This "war" is a war crime.

Ukraine is my homeland. I have relatives and friends there. It hurts a lot what is happening.
