Description
Although called a goose, the Egyptian Goose is actually a duck in goose clothing. On the water, it can appear quite duck-like, though in flight it looks heavy, much more like a goose. Their long legs and neck are also quite goose-like. The Egyptian geese population can be found in the form of small family groups or pairs. These breeding birds are social animals and are rarely seen alone. They are known as the Nile Goose because of their origin in the Nile Valley. Egyptian Geese make nests with participation from the female and the male. Both genders are aggressive when their nesting areas are threatened. Taken in Florida
